Juventus started life without Paul Pogba pretty well, beating Fiorentina 2-1 on Saturday thanks to Gonzalo Higuain’s winner.
Yet, although some would say Juve are no weaker without Pogba given their summer additions, the Frenchman has still left a gaping hole by returning to Manchester United.
And one man who is going to miss Pogba is Gianluigi Buffon.

The Italian legend has seen plenty of players come and go during his lengthy time in Turin but few with as much potential as Pogba.
But it’s not his skills on the pitch that Buffon reckons Juve will miss the most. It’s his close relationships with everyone in the team.
“He’s a good kid,” Buffon said, per the Mirror. “The important thing is that his attitude is excellent on the pitch and in training.
"The thing we will miss most now he has gone is his closeness with everyone in the team.
"Manchester United have signed a very good player and a very good teammate.”
United have strengthened
While Juve have strengthened with the additions of Higuain, Dani Alves, Miralem Pjanic and Marko Pjaca, Jose Mourinho has boosted his ranks by signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Eric Bailly.
It’s the addition of Pogba in a £89 million that Buffon thinks truly improves United.
“Manchester United is big club and always will be,” the goalkeeper added. “But with this transfer there’s no doubt they have increased their level.”
