Antoine Griezmann might have had a difficult few months, but he's on the cusp of being considered football royalty.
The diminutive attacker suffered double heartache with club and country over the summer, missing out on Champions League glory with Atletico Madrid and then losing a second final with France at Euro 2016.
That is no reflection on the wondrous abilities of the 25-year-old, however, as he is still widely considered to be encroaching on the territory of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo at the very top of the game.

Speaking to the Guardian about the pair, Griezmann admitted:
“I want to eat at their table.
“I want to get as close as possible to their level and win titles. My objective is to be among the best.”
However, the Frenchman, who scored 32 goals in 54 appearances last season, was first inspired not by either of the current generation's greatest stars.
In fact, he has now named his idol and, perhaps surprisingly, it's not one of his compatriots like Zinedine Zidane or Thierry Henry, but a former England hero - none other than David Beckham.
“I liked him a lot," said Griezmann.
"He was my idol. That’s why I wear a long-sleeved jersey and wear the No7.”
The Atleti superstar's penchant for Becks will inevitably lead to speculation linking him with a move to the Premier League, but while he admits it might happen in the future, it seems any potential transfer is a long way off right now.
"It (Atletico Madrid) is a club that can bring titles," he added.
"I really have no desire to go to another club. I want to win titles with Atlético."
