Angry Nate Diaz fan arrested after Conor McGregor fight for weird reason

UFC 202 was last weekend and it will no doubt go down as one of the greatest pay-per-views have put on in recent memory.

Anthony 'Rumble' Johnson produced an absolute demolishing KO to beat Glover Teixeira with barely 10 seconds on the clock, while Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone put on a masterclass to win his fight against Rick Story.

And then there was the main event, which saw Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz go to war in a fight that went the full 25 minutes. McGregor came out with the win and one Diaz fan was not happy with the judges decision.

Angry with Result

According to a report from Bloody Elbow, the diehard Diaz fan was arrested after getting his gun out and firing a few rounds into the air in frustration.

Missouri police apprehended 25-year-old Las Vegas resident Ulysses Liaina Jr. without incident and recovered a 9mm Ruger handgun and 13 spent bullet casings.

“Witnesses and friends all said he just pointed it straight up in the air. And so he wasn’t aiming at anybody,” said Captain Bob Higginbotham, who spoke to local outlet KZRG.

Liaina allegedly told officers he shot into the air because he was upset that Conor McGregor had just defeated Nate Diaz in their much-anticipated at the recent PPV.

“It was apparently his method of venting,” added the captain.

Liaina was charged with unlawful use of a weapon. Hopefully he takes an anger management class or two as well.
