NBA 2k17 is getting closer by the minute but for those who can't wait until September 16 to get their latest fix of basketball's biggest video game, 2k have released some extremely exciting news.

The previous edition of 2k gave us a taster of college basketball on the game with Spike Lee's 'Livin’ Da Dream', but you will be able to take that to new heights ahead of the release of 2k17.

A new video on the game's social media channels has announced a pre-release game mode called 'The Prelude' that will allow players to get a head start on their MyCareers by playing through college.

It will give you the chance to shape your player on the best individuals from each position. Want a three-happy point guard like Stephen Curry? No problem, a dominant forward like LeBron James? That's easy. Changing the height of your player even affects different statistics like athleticism and speed to give you most realistic experience yet.

The video shows the player in question playing for Arizona and the game perfectly captures the amazing atmosphere that is created on the NCAA circuit.

It is released via PSN and Xbox Live on September 9 and even has an added bonus of being able to play for coach Mike Krzyzewski on the fabled Team USA.

It could potentially be the best MyCareer yet.
