Manchester City's Sergio Aguero could yet face retrospective action after he appeared to elbow West Ham's Winston Reid in the throat during Sunday afternoon's Premier League fixture.
He wasn't punished at the time for what many feel was a clear and intentional elbow, but there is a growing feeling that the league will come down hard on the Argentinian striker.
The force of Aguero's flailing arm was evident as Reid was forced to be substituted as a result. And now, speaking on the incident, Hammers captain Mark Noble has revealed the pretty scary consequence for his teammate in the immediate aftermath of his clash with the City star.

Although Noble claimed that he himself didn't see the second half coming together that has everyone talking, the midfielder revealed that Reid was left unable to communicate for some time after the clash.
"I didn't see it," Noble said, via ESPN. "I don't know what it was about really but I know he can't really talk, he said he got something to the throat."
Falling to the floor clutching his throat before being substituted not long after, it was clear Reid wasn't play acting when he and Aguero came together in the 76th minute.
And the fact that the New Zealand defender was unable to talk to his teammates - both immediately after the incident and, seemingly, in the changing room after the game - shows the force with which Aguero's elbow connected with his throat.
Referee Andre Marriner missed the incident at the time, but there is a growing feeling that the City striker could face a retrospective suspension from the Premier League's disciplinary panel.
While Hammers boss Slaven Bilic may have done Aguero a favour by refusing to criticise the Argentinian - Bilic claimed he too didn't see the supposed elbow at the time - it would be a surprise if no further action was taken against the in-form forward.
The video footage, and now Noble's revelation about Reid's inability to talk after the clash, certainly don't look good for Aguero.
With Manchester City's next fixture after the international break coming against Manchester United, the impact of his apparent elbow could extend beyond Reid's lost voice. A suspension for the striker would give Jose Mourinho and co. the upper hand in the run-up to what is already a crucial early season fixture.
