Angle highlighted that he has held conversations with Triple H and that the two have seemingly buried the hatchet.
When the idea of a return to the company was discussed however, Angle put a much more realistic timeline on it than fans would have wanted him too.
Confirming that he has interest in returning, and that the company have interest in him appearing on their programming again, Angle warned that it won't happen overnight.
"If I went back to WWE, most likely it would be next year or the year after." - Angle on a potential WWE return
Almost completely ruling out a 2016 return, Angle has shown that he would certainly be on board if the offer was made.
Despite his desire to return, Angle has also shown that he is not prepared to sit around and wait for WWE to make him an offer.
"Well, I'm not sitting at home waiting around. I'm doing my own thing."
Following the discussion about his return, the Olympic gold medal winner turned his attentions to two of the brightest young superstars on the roster.
American Alpha - arguably Smackdown's hottest tag team, is clearly a favourite of Angle as he holds a lot of respect for his fellow former Olympian Chad Gable.
"It's so funny because I think Gable reminds me of me and I think Jordan reminds me of Shelton Benjamin."
Comparing Chad Gable and Jason Jordan to himself and Shelton Benjamin is a huge compliment for the young NXT upstarts.
