Vince McMahon is an enigma, someone who exists in the tales that are told about him more than what he actually says himself.
There are tonnes of amazing Vince stories out there, every single wrestler and person who ever came into contact with him has one, and some of them are truly special.
We now have a new one to add to the ranks, thanks to Karl Anderson - who recently revealed that Vince had absolutely no idea Luke Gallows played Festus during his first stint with the WWE.

Gallows and Anderson recently appeared on the Sam Roberts wrestling podcast and the duo were at their story-telling best - leading with that cracker about McMahon forgetting Luke played the dumb hick.
"The best part of the Festus character is that we heard from Talent Relations, or the Head of Talent Relations is that Vince doesn’t even remember that he was Festus," Anderson said.
"We go up to the Gorilla Position, and Mark Carano would say, I’m going to go tell Vince and remind him that you were Festus. I would say, don’t tell Vince, I need this run right now."
Gallows then butted in to add even more context to the situation.
"I don’t know if we’re even allowed to say the word, but my wife didn’t even know that I was Festus when I married her, which is real."
If even saying the name Festus is banned in the WWE then that is amazing. God damn that was a terrible character, through absolutely no fault of Gallows' of course.
