The moment that many WWE fans have been waiting for is finally upon them as former WWE Champion CM Punk prepares for his first fight in the UFC.

Punk famously left the company back in 2014 and would sign with the mixed martial arts promotion later in the year.

Long awaited debut

Despite signing in late 2014, Punk has yet to make his debut in the Octagon but he is now finally, just a few days away.

UFC 203 this Saturday night will feature Punk on the match card for the first time as he takes on Mickey Gall.

It is expected to draw big viewer numbers with a lot of non UFC fans set to take interest in the event, and everyone wants to know just how the man himself feels like it will go.

When asked ahead of this Saturday's clash however, the former WWE superstar appeared confident about his chances of victory.

"I definitely see myself winning and if I had to pick, I'd say TKO." - Punk on his fight against Mickey Gall

Despite his level of confidence, he attempted to stay away from bold predictions like those usually made by Featherweight champion Conor McGregor.

McGregor has become known for making predictions ahead of his own fights and Punk did almost everything he could to avoid making similar claims.

There is expected to be a lot of media attention when Punk makes the switch to the Octagon this Saturday night, but it is unclear where a loss in his debut would leave him.
