It was a grand celebration for the new champion but as always within the WWE, it didn't take long for everything to go wrong.
It all exploded when the man who Owens pinned to win the championship last week showed up as Seth Rollins made his way to the ring.
Rollins showed the ultimate disrespect to the new champion by completely ignoring him and making a beeline for Stephanie McMahon.
It came to blows however when Owens called into question the plans of the architect claiming that all he has been planning, is failure.
Rollins lost his cool and after chasing Owens from the ring, he was then suspended indefinitely by RAW Commissioner Stephanie McMahon.
That decision was overturned by General Manager Mick Foley and instead, Rollins was granted a title match at Clash of Champions.
We are three weeks away from RAW's first solo PPV since the Draft back in July and the first match announced is certainly a step in the right direction.
