Every team and set of fans always enter the new NFL season with optimism, no matter their record from the previous year.

One of those teams is the New York Jets, who likely feel they can build on their 10-6 record from the last year and make a good run at the Playoffs and maybe even more in 2016.

Ryan Fitzpatrick seemingly agrees with those fans, with the quarterback today stating that this is the best chance he and the team have for success.

It seems that FitzMagic truly believes that this may be the one opportunity he has to win a championship.

“I think I’m in a great situation,” he said after practice, via NewsDay.

“I really wanted to be back here, because I felt like, as an offense, we definitely had some unfinished business from last year. I think it’s a really talented team, and I just feel like it’s the perfect spot for me.”

It seems like this really is the time for the Jets to kick on.

“With the personnel we have, with the coaches we have in place. If I’m gonna succeed in this league, it’s gonna be here and it’s gonna be now.”

Fitzpatrick wouldn't predict a Super Bowl appearance for Gang Green this season, but maybe, just maybe, it is the Jets time to shine.
