Gennady Golovkin met Zlatan Ibrahimovic after Kell Brook fight

Just when you thought Gennady Golovkin couldn't get any cooler, he goes and outdoes himself.

The world middleweight champion is celebrating his huge victory over Kell Brook after the British fighter's corner threw in the towel in the fifth round of their clash at the O2.

In what was undoubtedly one of the fights of the year, Golovkin came out on top, even if Brook did test him before the Sheffield-born fighter suffered a blow that broke his eye socket.

However, for the Kazakhstani, retaining his belts will have paled in comparison to one post-fight moment.

Yes, the 34-year-old might be the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world, but he quickly posted a photo on Instagram with another sporting legend, albeit from a very different sphere - Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

If you ask the Swedish striker, that must have been the real highlight of the boxer's night. Because even when you've just stopped one of the most highly-rated fighters around, it doesn't get much better than hanging out with Ibra.

Too much cool in one photo.

Derby disappointment

Ibrahimovic might not have been feeling his usual champion self, however, as he travelled down to London to watch the fight just hours after being on the losing side in the Manchester derby.

The Swede made it onto the scoresheet as United went down 2-1 at home against City and should really have found an equaliser too when he took his shot too early, only for it to be easily cleared by John Stones.

It's fair to say Golovkin had a more enjoyable Saturday of the two, but Ibra obviously shook off the disappointment of the derby defeat pretty quickly.
