SmackDown LIVE crowned their first ever Women's Champion at WWE Backlash on Sunday evening, and it was the Irish Lass Kicker Becky Lynch that walked away with the title.
In a six-pack challenge, Lynch was the lone survivor as she saw off Nikki Bella, Naomi, Natalya, Alexa Bliss, and Carmella in an elimination-styled match.
The Women's Championship match was actually the first on the card for Backlash, following an opening segment by Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan.

After the superstars made their way down to the ring, the six of them all put on a great match, with the thousands in attendance buying into the six-pack challenge and even leading chants of 'this is awesome'.
Bliss was the first to be eliminated following a double-team move by Naomi and Natalya, and she was soon followed by Naomi, Nikki Bella, Natalya, and finally, Carmella, who tapped out to Lynch's disarmer.
Lynch was the favourite going into the match, and it was her first big win since being promoted from NXT back in 2015. On numerous occasions since her debut on the main roster, Lynch has fallen behind Charlotte and Sasha Banks, but in the wake of the brand split, she has finally got her hands on championship gold.
After the match, Lynch took to her Twitter account to reveal her delight at winning the Women's Championship, and she also paid respect to the five superstars she shared the ring with.
However, she wasn't the only one who took to Twitter following the match, as Triple H also posted a message congratulating the new champion.
He wrote: 'A long road traveled to the well-deserved destination. Congrats @BeckyLynchWWE...you were #StraightFire tonight.'
Another NXT graduate holding gold on the main roster. That is something Triple H will be very impressed with given his role with the developmental show.
