Potential WWE change for Cesaro after his series with Sheamus

The best of seven series between Sheamus and Cesaro has been picking up steam as it draws towards its conclusion.

After Sheamus raced into a 3-0 lead, Cesaro has picked up the last two falls, the latest of which occurred last night on WWE Raw.

According to the Daily Wrestling News, there is plenty of speculation within the company about how the series will play out and, specifically, what it will mean for the future of the Swiss Superman.

At this point, it seems inevitable that the series will go to the seventh match and the timing is right for that match to be part of the first Raw only PPV event Clash of Champions on September 25.

It is looking more probable that Cesaro will end up taking the loss in that match, setting in motion a chain of events that will lead to his trade to Smackdown.

It seems that almost since the day of the draft there have been rumors that Cesaro will be the subject of the first trade of this New Era and that he will be sent to perform on Tuesday nights.

The theory is that on a brand with less star power, especially with John Cena out of action, Cesaro will be able to thrive and move up the card to the level his talent deserves. This would certainly make sense if, as expected, Smackdown turns into more of a pure wrestling show.

This would also mean that Sheamus would win the still murky title shot that the winner of the series has been promised. Rumors here suggest a WWE Universal Championship shot, presumably against incumbent title holder Kevin Owens.
