Football News

We all know what an incredible footballer Neymar is.

The Brazilian may only be 24, but he is already considered the third best footballer on the planet.

The forward has scored 86 goals for Barcelona since signing for them in 2013 and has an incredible record of 48 goals in 72 appearances for his country.

However, it seems simply playing football isn’t enough for Neymar and he needs another hobby to keep him occupied off the pitch.

Neymar recently took to Twitter to announce the launch of his new career in music. Some people thought it was a joke - and they will be wishing it was.

Writing on the social media site in Portuguese he said: "This Wednesday, I’m beginning my music career and I'm going to release my first song on Facebook."

And the morning after he helped his side beat Celtic 7-0 in the Champions League by scoring a terrific free-kick and providing four assists, Neymar has stayed true to his word and released his new single on his Facebook page.

Neymar performs the song, called ‘I need’, on his piano with a friend watching on. But if you thought that Neymar would be as good a musician as he is a footballer, you’d be very much mistaken.

Now, we’re no music experts - nor can understand what’s he saying - but even we tell that it sounds pretty awful.

Just take a look at his friend’s face which sums up just how terrible Neymar is at singing.

Good or bad, Neymar is bound to sell plenty of albums - called ‘Yo necesito’ - when you consider the amount of fans he has.

Within an hour of posting his first single on his Facebook page, he had generated almost 800,000 views. Not bad for a terrible singer.

Stick to the day job, Neymar.
