Truth be told, Cesc Fabregas had very little to do with Chelsea's 2-1 defeat to Liverpool on Friday night.
The Spanish midfielder only came on at Stamford Bridge in the 84th minute and was given little time to influence the result.
However, that hasn't stopped him taking to social media this morning to apologise directly to Chelsea fans for the disappointing display. Scroll down this article to see his emotional message...
Fabregas posting a message to his official Instagram account that read:
"It hurts a lot to be dropping points again but we must stand up strong and learn from our mistakes.
"Let's prepare for Tuesday. Thank you so much for your love once again last night."

The message has been received well by his fans, but it is unlikely to make up for the disappointment Chelsea fans will be feeling this morning.
The west London club were second best for much of Friday night's game and were kept at arm's length by Jurgen Klopp's men for the majority of the contest.
The 2-1 defeat now means Antonio Conte's side has taken just one point from their last two games - a disappointing return after what had been a promising start to the Italian's first Premier League campaign.
Nevertheless, Chelsea fans will likely appreciate one of the senior members of the squad taking responsibility and not hiding away after the loss.
The message is also a sign of Fabregas' professionalism despite what must be a frustrating time for him personally right now.
The veteran midfielder is yet to start a league game under Conte and has been restricted to substitute appearances while N'Golo Kante and Nemanja Matić have started in the centre of the park.
Perhaps Chelsea's dip in form over recent games could actually see Fabregas given a bigger role as Conte looks to inject a creative spark into his side.
