It hasn't been long since WWE announced that Alberto Del Rio had left the company, but the former World Champion is already making appearances for new promotions.

Del Rio, who violated the Wellness Policy before officially being released, endured a frosty second stint with the WWE, and was reportedly planning on leaving later this year once his contract expired.

However, the two parties agreed on a mutual termination, and because of that, Alberto is immediately allowed to start working for other promotions.

After being released, Alberto admitted that he'd hold talks with some Mexican promotions closer to his home, but his first appearance actually came in Newcastle, England.

Formerly known as Alberto Del Rio, the Mexican Aristocrat made his debut with What Culture Pro Wrestling (WCPW) on Thursday night, under the name of Alberto El Patron.

The general manager of WCPW was in the ring and announced how a certain superstar wouldn't be able to compete due to contractual obligations, before then announcing someone was making their debut.

El Patron's music hit and down came the former WWE World Champion.

He took the mic in the ring and started addressing the fans in the audience, revealing why he had left WWE and why he chose to debut in Newcastle, England.

El Patron admitted he missed the love, the passion, and the energy whilst with WWE, and then said 'why not' when asking himself why he was making an appearance in Newcastle.

The fans were clearly delighted to see the former WWE superstar in the ring, and before the video came to an end, those in attendance started chanting 'Are you watching, are you watching, are you watching Vince McMahon?!'
