Robert Lewandowski scores sublime chip against Ingolstadt

Robert Lewandowski is arguably the most feared striker in the Bundesliga, having netted 30 league goals for Bayern Munich last season. Not even the best of defenders enjoy the prospect of coming up against the Poland international.

However, with the added incentive of it being a Bavarian derby this weekend, it was almost inevitable that Lewandowski would score against Ingolstadt on Saturday afternoon, having netted in each of Bayern's last four fixtures, in all competitions.

The 28-year-old has netted back-to-back hat-tricks for Bayern in the German Cup and Bundesliga, before single goals against Schalke and Russian side Rostov, in the Champions League earlier this week.

Lewandowski's form is frightening, and he again proved on Saturday exactly why Real Madrid and both Manchester clubs have been heavily linked with the former Borussia Dortmund star in the past year or so.

Ingolstadt, the visitors, took a shock eight-minute lead through Dario Lezcano, however, their lead lasted just four minutes, before a piece of brilliance from Lewandowski brought Carlo Ancelotti's men level.

Franck Ribery was quick to pick up a loose ball, following an interception from Bayern, before playing a neat ball through two Ingolstadt players and Lewandowski through on goal.

The Poland international appeared to be running wide of the target, however, he briefly glanced up and chipped the ball cooly over the onrushing Ingolstadt goalkeeper Orjan Nyland to level the tie up.

Bayern Munich have enough talent to cause opposition defence's plenty of headaches, with Thomas Muller, Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben just to name a few of the Bavarian giants' top-class attacking talent.

However, despite Ancelotti's wealth oppositions, it would be unwise to bet against Lewandowski topping the club's scoring charts again this season, considering his early-season form. The Poland international is proving to be unstoppable.
