Football News

After a wonderful start to his Manchester United career, it's fair to say that the last eight days haven't been so good for Swedish superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

In truth, Zlatan has probably been one of United's standout performers during their poor run of three consecutive defeats.

After all, the towering forward scored during the club's derby loss at the hands of Manchester City, while he only made a cameo appearance against Feyenoord and assisted Marcus Rashford's goal against Watford this afternoon.

Ultimately, though, he has has been on the losing side on each occasion. Despite United's tricky period, it appears that Zlatan still hasn't lost his sense of humour.

Indeed, during the Red Devils' 3-1 defeat to the Hornets at Vicarage Road, referee Michael Oliver accidentally sprayed himself during a discussion with the former PSG man.

But United's form really is no laughing matter. After two Premier League defeats on the bounce, the Red Devils are already six points behind rivals Manchester City.

United take on Northampton in the Capital One Cup on Wednesday before welcoming Premier League champions Leicester City to Old Trafford on Saturday. United can't afford to carry on dropping points at this stage of the season.
