Another competition debut and another goal for Marcus Rashford.
The Manchester United youngster netted on his maiden League Cup appearance against Northampton Town this evening, capitalising on a hilarious piece of goalkeeping by Adam Smith.
Rashford, on as a 55th-minute substitute, was rewarded for chasing a lost cause when Smith bottled a 50/50 challenge with the England international, leaving the United starlet with a simple finish. (Scroll down to watch the video).
Rashford blasted the ball into the back of the net from a yard out - why not, eh? - as he celebrated his third goal of the campaign.
United secured a 3-1 victory over their League One opponents, Michael Carrick and Ander Herrera scored the visitors’ other goals, but Rashford’s goal was easily the funniest moment of the evening.
