Austin Rivers signed a new contract to prolong his stay with the L.A. Clippers recently and, as the season approaches, he was targetted by two of the team's biggest stars on Instagram. However, the coach's son fought back.

Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan teamed up in an attempted roast of the 24-year-old, but Rivers fired back impressively in what has to be one of the best Instagram wars ever seen between teammates.

It all started with the guard posting a selfie on the social network platform, tagging the duo, who when then proceeded to share it on their own accounts and take the mick out of him.

What followed was hilarious as Blake compared Rivers to Sasha Baron Cohen's famous character Ali G and Jordan posted a number of Austin lookalikes.

Rivers hit back by attacking both of his teammates, using images of boxer Canelo Alvarez and musician Tyler, The Creator, you can decide who was who.

It shows the Clippers stars are in high spirits ahead of the campaign as they attempt to finally make a splash in the Western Conference playoffs after years of heartache.

Only time will tell if their off-court antics have any bearing on what we see on the hardwood, but the online fun definitely entertained their followers.
