A video has emerged that shows Conor McGregor did have some attacking spells during his fight with Khabib Nurmagomedov back at UFC 229, despite eventually falling to defeat.Arguably the most anticipated fight in UFC history ended in the Russian submitting McGregor and maintaining his undefeated record and retaining his lightweight title in the process.The fight ended when Khabib applied a rear-naked choke during round four, leaving the Irishman no choice but to tap out.Statistics from the fight show that the Russian connected with 99 strikes, with the Irishman connecting with a measly 37, BUT, a new video on Twitter has emerged that shows Notorious 'lighting up' Khabib during stages of the fight.In a fight that the Russian undoubtedly dominated, McGregor did have some good spells, landing most of his 37 jabs on Khabib, but it was the Russian who had the last laugh.Despite the event being the most anticipated in UFC history, the main drama of the evening came after the fight's conclusion.All hell broke loose outside of the cage when Khabib vaulted over the structure, attacking members of McGregor's team.

Khabib's brother then attacked McGregor, but it was an easy battle for the Irishman, who described seeing his brother attack him as a Christmas present.

"He was right there, I smacked him right in the eye socket, and we started fighting on top of the cage, it got broken up," he added.

McGregor tried to stay uninvolved in the proceedings after dealing with his brother, but once two members of Khabib's team came after him, he had to get involved again.

Khabib was fined $500,000 and suspended from fighting for nine months following the brawl after the fight. McGregor was fined $50,000 and suspended for six months.

UFC president Dana White refused to hand Khabib his lightweight belt, fearing it would lead to more trouble.

He said to the champ: "If I put this belt on you, everybody's going to start throwing s*** into the Octagon."
