Users on the Genshin Impact Leaks Subreddit recently noted how Crunchyroll, the massively popular anime streaming service, wrote about the upcoming Livestream for Genshin Impact 2.5 Update.

Whilst there is no confirmation that this even refers to a potential anime series for the game, it certainly has fans talking.

One Redditor noted how some recently leaked animation might actually have something to do with a potential anime series. They wrote: “Wouldn’t Genshin anime fit the recently leaked animation? With raiden, ayaka and ayato etc?”

Another user on the subreddit also speculated that the anime-styled footage that was recently leaked, writing: “I fully encourage an anime, but the fact that we haven’t heard anything about it makes me think this is just gonna be a one-timer for now, where (possibly) instead of getting the trailer made with in-game graphics, they do an anime-type intro.”

One other user would perfectly sum up the situation, potentially putting 2 and 2 together to get 5 but also maybe being bang on the money. They wrote: “Wait, with those leaked anime shots we got, it definitely makes sense for Crunchyroll (an anime streaming service) to promote Genshin all of a sudden. Oh man, I hope this happens, I’m gonna flip.”

We will have to wait and see what the anime-styled leaks for the new update in the game have anything to do with this article from Crunchyroll, but it would certainly make sense for the gacha title to move into a full-blown anime.
