He may have only just lost the title, but WWE could be preparing to give Brock Lesnar the WWE Championship again this month.

At the Royal Rumble last weekend, Brock Lesnar dropped the Universal Championship to Bobby Lashley after interference from Roman Reigns.

Later in the show, Lesnar won the men's Royal Rumble match, announcing on WWE Raw two days later that he'd be challenging Reigns for the Universal Championship at WrestleMania 38.

However, that may not be the match we end up getting, as WWE is considering giving Lesnar another run as WWE Champion.

Brock Lesnar was added to the Elimination Chamber WWE title match for later this month, and he could be set to win that match.

Dave Meltzer is reporting in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter that people within WWE feel as if Vince McMahon is going to go with a title vs. title match for the main event of WrestleMania.

At this point, the feeling on creative is that Vince will make the call to go with title vs. title, hence putting Lesnar in the chamber... The feeling internally was Vince was leaning in the direction of title vs. title, which would mean the originally planned WWE title match, whatever it would have been, is now off

The report even notes that Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar have been pushing to give 'The Beast' the WWE title again to make the Reigns vs. Lesnar match feel even bigger.

There were those internally including Heyman and Lesnar pushing for it

If Lesnar does regain the title, you'd have to question why the decision was made to have Bobby Lashley take the belt off him at the Royal Rumble last weekend.

WWE's exact plans for WrestleMania, particularly around the WWE Championship scene remain rather unclear. For any additional information on the matter, make sure you stay tuned to GiveMeSport.
