Shane McMahon was considered for a huge title match at WrestleMania 38 in April before he was surprisingly "let go" by WWE.

Earlier this week, reports indicated that Shane McMahon's plans for Elimination Chamber and WrestleMania had been shelved after Shane "p*ssed everyone off" at the Royal Rumble.

Not just that, but reports even indicated that the situation with Shane was so bad that Vince McMahon was left with no decision but to let his son go from WWE.

Now some more information has emerged regarding the plans that WWE had for Shane McMahon at WrestleMania, and they make for some very interesting reading.

On a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez noted that the plan WWE had for WrestleMania would have seen Shane McMahon face Bobby Lashley.

While not mentioned in the initial report, considering Bobby Lashley is the WWE Championship, the match would have likely seen McMahon challenge for the title:

"I can confirm that as of a couple of days ago, their plan for Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania was Shane McMahon. I think that’s changed but that absolutely 100% was their plan".

The idea will obviously have changed, with all plans that WWE had for Shane McMahon now being scrapped.

It seems like we know what the replacement match will be, as a new report has claimed that Bobby Lashley may not be walking to WrestleMania as WWE Champion.

People within WWE feel as if Vince McMahon is going to give Brock Lesnar the WWE title before WrestleMania, and have the Roman Reigns vs. Lesnar match be title vs. title.

The reports that are out there have been stated that another title reign for 'The Beast' is something that Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman have been campaigning for.
