Salah, Kante, no Ronaldo: Harry Kane names his ultimate Premier League 5-a-side team

Harry Kane excluded Cristiano Ronaldo when naming his ultimate PL five-a-side team

There are so many stars playing in the Premier League.

Manchester City have a plethora of world-class players in their ranks, including Ederson, Ruben Dias, Bernardo Silva and Kevin De Bruyne.

Liverpool have a number of stars themselves, with Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold among the very best in the world.

Elsewhere in the Premier League, N’Golo Kante, David de Gea and Son Heung-min are also extraordinary talents.

And arguably the best footballer of all-time, Cristiano Ronaldo, is still playing at an extremely high level for Manchester United.

But who would feature in the best Premier League five-a-side team?

Harry Kane was asked to pick his ultimate Premier League five-a-side team in an interview with Amazon.

View who he selected below… (question is asked at 2:19)

He said: “Premier League only, good question? I’ll go with Hugo [Lloris] in goal. Sonny [Son Heung-min] up top with Mo Salah.

“I’ll go [N’golo] Kante in midfield.

“I need to put a defender in there, so I’ll go for Reece James – he’s been fantastic this year and he can do some attacking too, so will be going doing all out attack.”

Interesting. There’s no doubt that Kane’s side is very strong. But he’s missed out some very big names,

Van Dijk misses out, while James is preferred to Alexander-Arnold.

Surprisingly, Kane didn’t name any Man City players in his side at all, with De Bruyne and Silva both omitted.

The biggest omission of all is, of course, Ronaldo.

Pochettino told he will be SACKED by PSG! Man United to appoint NEXT MONTH?

Kane has gone with Salah instead, which isn’t that surprising given he’s been arguably the best player in the world over the past year.

Kane was also very complimentary of the Egyptian forward.

After naming Salah the best player in England’s top tier in 2021/22, Kane said: “Salah has been fantastic.

“Obviously, doing it against some of the biggest teams in the league as well, so he’s been there and he’s had a fantastic start to the season.

“There is a reason why Liverpool are near the top of the table as well.”
