Hardcore boxing fans are no stranger to the intense rivalry that exists between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua. Ranking as the finest heavyweight boxers of this era, it’s no surprise there is tension between the two. The pair were set to meet each other for the undisputed title last year, but the fight failed to proceed due to external factors.Today, The Gypsy King went a level up after declaring that Deontay Wilder would knockout Joshua if they were to ever fight one another. Fury tweeted a graphic of the pair seemingly battling one another with the caption: “I’d say @BronzeBomber would KO the bum inside 3 rounds.”

The Bronze Bomber has not fought since he suffered a devastating defeat at the hands of Fury who recorded a late stoppage and retained the heavyweight title.

Wilder is currently recovering from a broken hand and is pondering his future, even hinting at his own retirement.

The Joshua vs Wilder rivalry has always been anticipated in the boxing world with many desperate to see the pair face off. Joshua is the former WBA, IBF and WBO champion whilst Wilder previously held the WBC title.

The comment from Fury is the latest in a line of scathing attacks on Joshua with the WBC champion having previously hit out at his compatriot over his 2012 Olympic Gold medal win.

Speaking on ESPN, Fury said: “I think he’s a useless old dosser, Anthony Joshua. he got kicked to the gold medal in London. He robbed the Cuban blind in the first fight.

"So, he shouldn’t have even got the medal. And then as soon as he stepped up a level, he got chinned. He tried to go over to America, where the real fights happen.

"And he got absolutely obliterated by a fat kid on two weeks’ notice. So, do I think he’s a great fighter? Hell no, I don’t think he’s a great fighter.”

Whilst Joshua is yet to comment, fans are certain that the post will not go unnoticed and eagerly await the development of this latest clash.
