Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz; two unbelievable fighters who enjoyed two bouts against each other, with each of them coming out on top on one occasion.

This isn’t a statement up for debate: You would not want to get on the wrong side of either of them. If, of course, you do bump into the American mixed martial artist, do not do what this man did.

After taking part in setup vox pop, a member of the public was asked by a journalist: “McGregor vs Nate Diaz, who’s going to win and how?” with the man replying: “I think Conor’s going to knock him the hell out. I think Conor’s going to whoop him, I’m excited. I’m ready to see UFC 202, Conor’s going to whoop him. I’m ready.”

Judging by the man’s words, it sure seems as though he is a huge fan of the Irishman, but it wasn’t for long.

Diaz was rapidly brought out from backstage after hearing the comments, looking down with a face of disgust before he was asked by the interviewee: “What is going on here?”

“Nate, what’s up?" was the plead by the man in an awkwardly humorous manner, with the pair then proceeding to shake hands.

It’s almost as though the speaker had no choice, with the 36-year-old cage fighter boasting a record of 21 wins across his 34 professional fights in the UFC.

Next up for Diaz could be a trilogy fight against McGregor, with one of their bouts set back in July 2016 cancelled due to Mystic Mac’s failure to complete media duties.

Diaz currently only has one fight remaining on his contract, and if the UFC want to treat their viewers to a box office sensation, then Conor McGregor vs Nate Diaz III is the go-to fight, before the latter hits the open market.Â
