A chance to battle for the Raw Women’s Championship is on the line at Elimination Chamber on Saturday week, in the night’s second Elimination Chamber bout. So far Rhea Ripley, Nikki A.S.H., Bianca Belair, Liv Morgan and Doudrop have been announced for the match, with one ‘mystery’ place remaining. GiveMeSport speculates which Superstar could fill that spot in Jeddah on February 19. AsukaWe’ve not seen Asuka since last June’s Money in the Bank show and details on her current hiatus have been scarce, other than an Instagram post last year that showed the former women’s champion’s arm in a brace. There were some reports around the Royal Rumble stating that The Empress of Tomorrow was medically cleared to make her return, and although she didn’t appear in the Rumble match it would suggest her comeback is imminent. Placing her in the Elimination Chamber would up the star power and give WWE more options on the road to WrestleMania. Bayley Although part of the SmackDown brand upon her ACL injury last July, Bayley wasn’t assigned to a roster in the 2021 draft, giving her a free pass to join the Chamber match if he has fully recovered from the lay-off. Unlike Asuka, WWE and Bayley have been a lot more transparent about her time on the shelf and although the Royal Rumble came too early for her return, reports suggest she could be back as early as this month. SmackDown’s longest reigning champ has already got WWE tongues wagging by replying to WWE’s Elimination Chamber tweet with a leg emoji, suggesting she’s ready to go.

Lacey Evans

The final member of the trio of Superstars hoping to return to television in the run up to WrestleMania and if her social media game is to be believed, then she’s possibly her comeback is looking the most likely. Evans has been missing since last February, where was set to face Asuka for the Raw Women’s Championship at last year’s Elimination Chamber, but the match was cancelled when Lacey fell pregnant and left WWE TV. Having given birth in October, she has recently taken to Twitter to reply to fans hoping to see her back on TV and showcased her workouts across Instagram. Signalling that Lacey is ready to see off the ‘nasties’ once again and it could come inside the chamber structure in Jeddah.

Alexa Bliss

Bliss is of course already ‘back’ on Monday Night Raw, starring in slew of segments as she seeks therapy following her character’s transformation to the dark side. As reported this week, there were no plans of having Alexa as part of the women’s Rumble match, and there is apparently a long-term story in place for her and the journey ‘back to Raw’. However, given she’s a former winner of the chamber match and the spots they could create with Bliss inside the structure, Bliss would be a popular and exciting addition to the field.

Io Shirai

A leftfield choice maybe, but there is some sense behind the theory. Shari is one of the few remaining ties to the black and gold NXT days and hasn’t been seen on Tuesday nights since War Games in December. Having reigned as women’s champ on NXT, it would seem a move to Raw or SmackDown would be the next logical step for the 31-year-old. The Elimination Chamber spot offers her a high-profile entry to the ‘main’ roster, while not having to be the sole focus of the event. And who wouldn’t want to see The Genius of the Sky fly off one of the Elimination Chamber pods to add to the match’s highlight reel?

Ronda Rousey

They couldn’t, could they? One thing’s for sure, WWE have no problems doubling down on their prize assets and Ronda is certainly seen in that way. Adding Rousey to the match ups the star power - especially to the Saudi audience and backers they are looking to please - and makes use of a Superstar they can guarantee will give the bout more attention. Then there’s the possibility of her winning and setting up an intriguing title picture with the three stars that main evented WrestleMania 35. Probably a long shot, but with Brock Lesnar in almost the same position on the men’s side, it’s a situation you can’t completely rule out.
