Ian Wright is one of Arsenal's greatest goal-scorers and a true Premier League legend.

Now an incredibly well respected pundit, Wright is one of the faces of football in the United Kingdom and is arguably as good a broadcaster as he was a striker.

His bubbly sense of humour and infectious laugh has seen many a studio moment go viral but he also possesses a keen eye for detail and is brilliant when it comes to assessing more niche moments within a game.

However, Wright's ascension to one of the most respected figures in the sport came via a long and winding road.

In fact, Wright openly credits one of his school teachers, a Mr. Pigden, with completely turning his life around.

In 2005, was still in his playing days, Wright was filming at Arsenal's Highbury Stadium when he got the shock of his life from his former teacher.

Having not seen his beloved Mr. Pigden for over two decades, Wright was under the assumption that he had passed away, so his facial expressions say it all when the two were reunited on the terraces.

In incredibly heartwarming footage, Wright is left completely dumbfounded by the appearance of Mr. Pigden, but immediately shows his respect by sub-consciously whipping off his cap.

Wright then embraces Mr. Pigden in a beautiful moment as the pair laughed together. You can see the moment from the 25-second mark in the video below.

"He had a massive impact on me," Wright is quoted as saying in an interview with The42.

"He was a guiding light all the way through my career, as people saw in the video when I was reunited with him. I dedicated my book to him and I think that was the least I could do for somebody that literally turned my life around, in respect to teaching me how to be a decent human being."

Sadly, Mr. Pigden did pass away in the end at the age of 95, but his legacy lives on in the form of one of England's most beloved footballing personalities.
