Former world champion Bayley has hinted she could be ready to return at this month’s Elimination Chamber Premium Live Show. The 32-year-old hasn’t been seen on WWE TV since July, after suffering a torn ACL during a training session at WWE’s Performance Center ahead their return to touring. The injury, reportedly occurred while chain wrestling as part of the session, was expected to keep her on the shelf for up to nine months. There were some reports ahead of the Royal Rumble that Bayley was one of the names discussed as a surprise entrant to the match, however it seems that ‘The Role Model’ could be setting her sights on a comeback at Elimination Chamber later this month.

WWE announced on Twitter yesterday that a Raw Women’s Championship shot would be on the line inside the Elimination Chamber, with Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, Nikki A.S.H., Doudrop, Liv Morgan and a mystery competitor all set to compete in the match.

Bayley replied to the post with a leg emoji, seemingly indicating that her injury has healed and is ready for a return to action, with her sights set on the final spot in the chamber match.

SmackDown’s longest-ever reigning women’s champ is no stranger to the Elimination Chamber structure, having competed in the first-ever women’s chamber match in 2018 and becoming the first Women’s Tag Team Champions alongside Sasha Banks by winning the tag team chamber match a year later.

Bayley remains unassigned to a brand in WWE, having not been drafted to either Raw or SmackDown during the 2021 draft, meaning as a free agent she could enter the match and earn a shot at whoever the Raw Women’s Champion is come WrestleMania.
