Cristiano Ronaldo started on the bench as Manchester United draw 1-1 against Burnley on Tuesday evening.

Ralf Rangnick chose to start Edinson Cavani in place of Ronaldo for their trip to Turf Moor.

When asked about the decision before the game, Rangnick said, per the Daily Mail: "Today it will require a lot of sprinting and chasing a lot of balls.

"A lot of fighting for second balls and I think this profile fits perfectly for Edison. That's why I decided to start him today. We will also need Cristiano to start in the next couple of games."

Ronaldo was needed for the game. He was substituted on with the two sides drawing 1-1 in the second half.

But he was unable to find a winner. And the 37-year-old was clearly not happy at all at the final whistle.

Footage has emerged of Ronaldo running straight off the pitch at full-time.

He threw some wrist tape on the floor before disappearing down the tunnel. Watch the moment below...

Of course, that's not the first time Ronaldo has reacted in a similar manner this season to a disappointing result.

It's not what the United fans who travelled to Turf Moor would have wanted to see from the legendary striker.

Ronaldo has now not scored in five games. That's his worst drought in front of goal since 2010.

United had two goals disallowed in the first-half and Rangnick was not happy with the officials.

Speaking after the game, he said, per the Mirror: "I think we played a fantastic first half, couldn't have played any better. We scored three goals, the second that was disallowed I cannot understand. It was a very, very soft decision by the linesman. He flagged the foul five or six seconds after it took pace.

"It really surprised me he flagged when the ball was in the ne. Had he really seen the foul? The first I can understand why it was disallowed, it was a hard one, but the second I cannot understand.

"If you look into the whole game we dominated for most of it. Winning one point is not enough and another frustrating again."
