Rangers may find it difficult to hold onto Joe Aribo and Ryan Kent as Premier League suitors could offer the Ibrox favourites more lucrative salaries, according to the Herald and Glasgow Times' senior Gers reporter Chris Jack.

Aribo and Kent have been on the radar of numerous clubs south of the border for some time thanks to impressive performances for their current employers.

What's the latest news involving Aribo and Kent?

According to The Sun, Aribo has moved to the top of Crystal Palace's shopping list ahead of the transfer window reopening in the summer.

The report suggests Rangers would be seeking in the region of £10million for the central midfielder's services and Palace, who have the funds to conclude a deal, see the 15-cap Nigeria international as an ideal replacement for loanee Conor Gallagher.

Aribo has entered the final year-and-a-half of his £14,000-per-week salary at Ibrox and it appears he is unwilling to commit his long-term future to the club after All Nigeria Soccer claimed the 25-year-old has no interest in signing a new deal having opening preliminary talks before the turn of the year.

Palace are not the only side coveting Aribo as Brentford and Watford are understood to have held an interest in recent months.

Meanwhile, Kent has been linked with a switch to Aston Villa after former Rangers chief Steven Gerrard took charge of the Premier League club in November.

The winger, who is valued at £12.6million by Transfermarkt, has also been admired by Leeds United for a prolonged period and the Whites saw a £10million bid turned down in August 2020.

What has Chris Jack said about the duo?

Jack believes it will be difficult for Rangers to stave off interest in Aribo and Kent if Premier League clubs put bids on the table in the summer transfer window.

The journalist understands both men would stand to double their respective wages by heading south of the border.

Jack told GIVEMESPORT: "There's only so high they can go in terms of wages. Premier League clubs could blow them out of the water in terms of wages, so Rangers could reach their limit on Joe Aribo and Ryan Kent.

"Their agent could go to a Southampton or a Brentford and say double it and it would be no problem at all. They'd just say 'here's your money'."

Would losing Aribo and Kent come as a huge blow to Rangers?

Aribo and Kent played a key role as Rangers ended their decade-long wait for a Scottish Premiership title last season.

Kent has continued to show he is a threat in the final third of the pitch in the current campaign, chalking up 12 goal involvements, so sanctioning the 25-year-old's departure would have an impact on Rangers' creativity.

However, he has entered the final 17 months of his £18,000-per-week Ibrox agreement and the Gers will not want to risk losing him for nothing next summer.

Aribo, meanwhile, is approaching 130 Rangers appearances and his influence in the middle of the park has been key for Giovanni van Bronckhorst's side.
