On his podcast ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’, Rogan explained that he had been ‘fat-shamed’ during the previous year after weighing himself at 205lbs (14.5st).
As a part of the radical diet change, the UFC commentator cut all fruit, vegetables and nuts from his diet and completed the challenge as part of ‘World Carnivore Month.’
Rogan lost 12lbs over the course of the month which led to him having a much more defined physical appearance.
“I had a belly; a lot of people made fun of me, fat-shamed me,” Rogan said in a post on Instagram.
” I lost all my fat, I lost the belly, I lost my love handles. I don’t know if I’m gonna keep eating like this, but it was tremendously beneficial.
“I went into this thing thinking this carnivore diet was wacky and probably thought it was nonsense, but this is as good as I’ve felt in a long time and it’s just one month.”
Well, it turns out that he’s has returned to the diet at the start of 2022, revealing to his 14.6 million Instagram followers that he was making one alteration.
“January is world carnivore month. This time I’m adding fruit to this diet. Just meat and fruit for the whole month.”
Despite Rogan’s results, most mainstream institutions like the United States Department of Agriculture, heavily recommend against a carnivore diet over a more well-balanced one.
The 54-year-old has recently come under fire from a number of high-profile figures as a result of his previous actions.
As a result, he could be set to see his $100 million four-year exclusive Spotify deal cut short as the Swedish audio streaming service face pressure to remove Rogan from the platform.
