The fallout from Kurt Zouma’s shocking cat abuse video shows no signs of stopping.

Despite starting West Ham’s match against Watford on Tuesday, the repercussions are coming thick and fast.

Adidas confirmed the defender is “is no longer a contracted athlete” and Vitality said it was suspending its sponsorship with the east London club.

His cats were taken away by the RSPCA with the animal charity now reportedly looking to charge him.

Meanwhile, despite starting him, West Ham have reportedly fined him two weeks wages which would be donated to the RSPCA.

That fine was widely reported to be £250,000. For those of you any good at maths, that equates to a £125,000 weekly wage.

That came as news to many of his West Ham teammates - and it hasn’t gone down well.

In fact, according to the Daily Mail, they're 'furious.'

A £125,000 weekly wage would make Zouma the club's highest paid player and a number of other first-team players are unhappy about that and could ask for big raises as a result.

Michail Antonio recently signed a new deal thought to be worth around £100,00-per-week. And according to website, Salary Sport, other West Ham stars earn considerably less.

Jarrod Bowen takes home £80,000 weekly, while Declan Rice is on less than half of what Zouma earns (£62,000-per-week).

A number of players could now demand sharp pay raises as a result of Zouma's salary being confirmed.

Another decision the club have to make is whether to play Zouma once again in West Ham's Premier League clash with Leicester on Sunday. David Moyes came under fire with the decision to play the former Chelsea man against Watford.

Moyes explained his decision to play the centre-back by saying: "I’m really disappointed, and the club have taken all the action they can do at the moment behind the scenes. My job is to pick the best team and Kurt was part of that," he claimed.

"I’m a big animal lover and it’s something that will have affected a lot of people.

"I was completely disappointed with what I saw and what I was told, but my job was to try and find a way to get a win for West Ham. Some people will be disappointed and I understand that.

"I’m someone who cares a lot about my dogs and my horses. The club are dealing with it as you well know.

"I’ve already spoken to him and we’ll move on as much as we can. We understand it’s not something everybody is pleased about. It’s a really poor situation.

"Was it the wrong call? My feeling was Kurt’s apologised. I understand lots of people won’t just accept that. But I had to do my job then, and that was to pick the best team I could.

"He’s obviously really disappointed and we’ve all felt it through the team and through the club. We are all of the same feeling it was completely out of order from Kurt and we didn’t expect that.

QUIZ: Can you name these 15 obscure former West Ham United players from the 1990s?

"I always felt I had to try and separate them and let the club do their side and I’ll do my side which is the football side. I think you are talking to one of the most disciplinary managers there is.

"It’s something which we are all really disappointed with and the club are dealing with it. Kurt is in our first XI so my decision was to play him."
