With WrestleMania getting closer and closer, fans continue to speculate which big names will be at the event in Dallas across April 2ndand 3rd - and one name to add to that list is Gable Steveson

Steveson was the surprise name in October’s WWE draft, where the 21-year-old was added to the Raw roster, but he is yet to wrestle a match in WWE. However, the Olympic Gold Medallist has hinted that he could be involved in something come WrestleMania weekend.

Speaking with KSTP’s Darren Wolfson, Steveson lifted the lid on his training at the Performance Center, and noted that he intends to pick things up towards the end of March, with the intention of being at WWE’s biggest event of the year.

"So, I'm still working out all the things with that. I have the opportunity to go down to the Performance Center, stay for a day, and practice. My brother is down there too, so I can go down there and say what’s up. My training site is still getting hit here and is about to be up for good."When the time comes I’m going to try and create a wrestling academy, like the Gable Steveson Academy for — like kids can come in and practice our wrestling, and then there can be a WWE ring, there can be a UFC ring. So we’re trying to turn it into a big little thing that gives people an opportunity to grow and be around me too and see how I made to the spot I am today.Right when March ends, I’m picking it up. I think I’m, I’ll probably head to WrestleMania and do some — I don’t know what from there, but you’ll see. It just picks up again, there’s no break.”

Steveson is part of WWE’s new ‘Next in Line’ NIL program, allowing WWE to recruit and develop future performers through collaborative partnerships with college athletes.
