Josh Taylor believes Amir Khan's predictability is the reason why Kell Brook will beat the Bolton boxer as 'he doesn't change up the pace'.

The pair finally settle their long-running feud at Manchester Arena on February 19 - and Taylor has tipped Brook to win the fight.

Former welterweight world champion Brook, 35, goes into his long-awaited grudge match with ex-unified super-lightweight champ Khan, also 35, as the odds-on favourite.

And according to current undisputed 140lbs champ Taylor, the Sheffield star does so for a reason.

Taylor said on Sky Sports Boxing' YouTube channel: "I think with Khan, he is fast, he is rapid, but everything is at the same speed.

"He doesn't change up the pace, everything's always at 100 miles per hour, and he throws lots of punches.

"So Kell could possibly get accustomed to the speed and time him over five, six, seven rounds."

Much has been made of the devastating eye injuries Brook suffered in his defeats to Gennady Golovkin and Errol Spence Jr.

Despite suffering broken eye sockets in both previous losses, Taylor doesn't think that will be too much of a problem, as he insists that they should be fully healed by now.

Asked if there is any potential weaknesses there, he replied: "I mean, I don't think so.

"For that kind of injury, obviously it's healed up now and whatever, for that to affect someone it'll be more in their own mental game.

"I think that'll be more for Kell's mental strength and how he takes on that kind of injury."

Taylor has been following Khan's career since he won silver at the 2004 Olympics and admitted his speed could help him establish an early lead on the scorecards.

But the Scotsman - who has a fight of his own to look forward to later this month with Jack Catterall - reckons that Brook will eventually catch up to him.

He predicted: "Early doors, it will be Khan, maybe with a little bit of speed and stuff.

"But I do think Kell will get used to it and time him and hit him with a good shot.

"I think Brook by knockout I'm going to say, rounds six to eight I would say, yeah."
