Conor McGregor and Tyson Fury are undoubtedly two of the most iconic athletes of the 21st century.

The pair have won titles and influenced an entire generation of up and coming fighters in both MMA and boxing respectively.

While they may be in different sports, Fury and McGregor have been beefing on social media as of late, which has sparked another internet war between two combat sport personalities.

In a solo tweet posted by the Gypsy King, Fury said: “@TheNotoriousMMA has done more tapping than MJ’s old dance shoes.”

Fury coupled the tweet comparing McGregor to Michael Jackson’s shoes with a plethora of laughing emojis to show just how much the Manchester native was clowning the Irishman.

A McGregor fan account then quote-tweeted a video of Fury claiming that “Conor McGregor is MMA.”

The clip also showed Fury saying that he “couldn't name three more fighters in MMA.”

The video of Fury heaping praise on McGregor then prompted a reply from The Notorious himself, who said: “It’s all good, we forget it. Fair play Tyson. God bless ya mate.”

McGregor also included the hashtag “Mental Health Awareness,” something both fighters have struggled with in recent history.

Following previous Twitter interactions, it seems as though the beef between McGregor and Fury is over … for now.

McGregor is continuing to recover from the injury that forced a doctor’s stoppage against Dustin Poirier back in July 2021, while Fury is gearing up for a bout with Dillian Whyte. The targeted date for the all-British matchup is reportedly April 23, 2022.
