There are few things more annoying in football than time wasting.Players are so desperate to win that they will do anything in order to do so.When a team is defending a narrow lead in the closing stages of the game, the chances of seeing some time wasting going on is very high. And that's exactly what happened in the Primeira Liga game between Vitória de Guimarães and Belenenses SAD on Sunday evening.Belenenses were 1-0 up going into stoppage-time in the game.Afonso Sousa was desperate to see his side hold on and so, in an effort to run down the clock, fell to the ground.Ricardo Quaresma, now 38 years old, was not having any of it.The former Chelsea and Inter Milan winger took matters into his own hands as he bent down and picked Sousa off the ground.Quaresma proceeded to carry his opponent like a baby towards the touchline. He didn't quite manage to take Sousa off the pitch though as he was confronted by the 21-year-old's teammates.Quaresma was booked for his actions but it didn't look like he cared at all. Unfortunately for Quaresma and Vitoria, they could not find an equaliser and thus succumbed to a narrow defeat.

That was only Belenenses' third victory of the Primeira Liga season. They remain bottom of the table and are five points away from safety with 12 games to go.

Vitoria meanwhile are sixth and are seven points away from a European Conference League spot.
