Terence Crawford has arrived in Manchester to support Amir Khan ahead of his fight with Kell Brook.

Khan has spent the past few months training at Crawford's gym in Colorado Springs after linking up with his trainer Brian 'Bomac' McIntyre.

And he expressed his gratitude to his former opponent for helping him prepare for his fight against Brook.

Khan told Sky Sports: "There was no nervousness because me and Crawford have always spoken on social media, even before our fight.

"Me and Crawford trained together, we ran together. He is a gentleman.

"What makes him pound-for-pound is how tough he is. He works so hard. I saw how much he pushes himself.

"He gave me tips. He says that he wants to help me for this fight.

"I will definitely ask his advice about Kell. He told me that he wasn't troubled at all by Kell."

Khan also revealed how his wife Faryal Makhdoom played an influential role in his decision to switch training camps.

He explained: "My wife got in touch with BoMac, who said I could come.

"My wife sent me over for a training camp!

"She told me: 'Just see if you like it'.

"I loved it. It's what I needed in my life.

"The first day I went running. But I was overweight and unhealthy. When I came back to the UK, I trained hard every day.

"So when I went back to Omaha I was beating everybody in the runs. I felt sharp again. It gave me confidence.

"I thought: 'I've still got it'."

In an interview with The Daily Mirror, he said: "Khan's trainer is new who he has never trained with before for any fight, how is he saying stuff to help him?

'He doesn't even know the man, he is the man who pointed his finger at Amir Khan and called him a quitter and was slagging him off.

"How are they in New York when his trainer was calling him a quitter and even Terrence Crawford himself? Mad.

"Whereas I am settled like a duck to water, this is where I started and the only reason we weren't together previously has been because of Covid. We do what we normally do and that's work hard and be professional.

"That's his opinion about the Ingles, Dominic knows when to push me and when to give me a day off. I am preparing for myself but obviously at the same time the way I am preparing myself is for the best Amir Khan.

"I have pushed 110 per cent, I will be physically and mentally ready to go with no excuses."
