Zlatan Ibrahimovic's time at Manchester United was brief.

The Swedish legend was in his mid-30s and was past his best when he joined the Red Devils in 2016.

But, despite his age and despite suffering a serious knee injury, Zlatan was prolific in front of goal for United.

He scored 29 goals in 53 games and would no doubt have fared even better were it not for that knee problem.

Zlatan scored one hat-trick during his time at United, against Saint-Etienne in the Europa League on February 16, 2017.

And to say it was fortuitous would be an understatement. The video of his hat-trick, dubbed 'the worst hat-trick ever', is going viral again and you can view it below...

Zlatan's first goal came from a free-kick in the first half. He skewed his effort badly and it looked as though it would easily be saved by Stéphane Ruffier.

However, the ball took a deflection off the wall and deceived Saint-Etienne's number one as it trickled into the net.

The goal was credited to Zlatan because his shot was technically on target, but he was very lucky to be given it.

His second goal was a tap-in from a few yards out. Ruffier and a Saint-Etienne player both got a touch on Marcus Rashford's cross. The ball fell fortunately to Zlatan who had the easy task of scoring into an empty net.

And his third, scored in the 87th minute, came from the penalty spot. In fairness, it was a decent spot-kick from Zlatan as he sent Ruffier the wrong way.

You know a hat-trick isn't of the greatest quality when a penalty is the best goal of the three.

Nevertheless, a hat-trick is a hat-trick, no matter how the goals go in.
