Carl ‘The Cobra’ Froch and Tony Bellew have both given their opinions on the much anticipated fight between Amir Khan and Kell Brook which is taking place on Saturday, February 19.

Of course, the opinions of legends such as these two are highly valued by fans and provide incredible insight into the sport.

Froch himself has held multiple super middleweight championships with a record of 33-2, while Bellew has held similar honours showcasing a 30-3-1 record.

The fight has split opinions across the boxing landscape, but Froch seems to favour Kell Brook.

Speaking to Sky Sports, as per Metro, Froch said: "I’d rather be Kell Brook going into this because I think the speed and the reflexes that Amir Khan holds and the fast hands, he can probably only do that for three, four, five rounds.

"If this fight goes past five or six rounds, I’d rather be Kell Brook with the natural ability, the timing, the footwork and the elegance in that ring. He’s a fantastic talent.

"Now I’m making Kell Brook the favourite, but only slightly and that’s because he can punch. He’s got a nice, powerful, tasty punch, especially at this weight.

"The fight is happening at 149lb, a couple of pounds over the welterweight division so I favour that punching power over the speed and footwork of Amir Khan because I don’t think he’s going to be able to sustain that for 12 rounds."

While it appears Froch is very one sided in his prediction, Tony Bellew is very different.

Speaking to DAZN, he said: "I genuinely don’t know what’s going to happen."

In fact, Bellew seems pretty stumped by the whole process and has suggested that the telling factor in the fight is who has the most left.

He goes on to elaborate and explain that at first he thought Brook would win by stoppage, but more recently he’s been impressed by the conditioning of Amir Khan.

"It’s just who’s got more left, I’m going to predict the fighter who's got the most left.

"I always thought it was going to be Kell Brook by stoppage.

"I just don’t know what Kell’s got left, and I know for a fact Amir has looked after himself better physically, that’s a fact.

Tony Bellew is expecting an explosive finish in Anthony Joshua v Kubrat Pulev

"Away from camp, it’s Amir who is living the cleaner life and I think that might be the difference on the night.

"Kell’s power is definitely a big factor in the fight, but if you ask me to put money on I don’t know what’s going to happen."
