Lita has never been afraid of taking risks in the ring, but the WWEs Hall of Famer has revealed how the legendry Eddie Guerrero once warned her against taking a painful bump.

The former women’s champion made a name for herself in the naughties for her arsenal of moves that included hurricaranas and her famous moonsault finisher, often mixing it up with male members of the roster.

However, speaking to Alistair McGeorge of Metro.co.uk Lita revealed the warning she received from the late Eddie Guerrero, after she asked him to a move on her during an episode of Raw.

“There’s one time. I wanted Eddie Guerrero to powerbomb me,” Lita began. “I wanted to jump off the top turnbuckle like I was going to give him a hurricarana to the floor, and he was gonna catch me and powerbomb me. He was like, ‘No way, that’s gonna hurt you so bad! I don’t wanna do that to you, it’s gonna hurt you.’ I was like, ‘No, no, no, it’s gonna be awesome, that’s what I wanna do!’“He was so adamant about not doing it, and I was do adamant about doing it – and it hurt me! I landed on the ground like, ‘He was right…'”

The spot came in Lita’s then-partner Esse Rios’ match against Dean Malenko, where Guerrero appeared in Malenko’s corner while the two were members of the faction The Radicalz. It wasn’t a fruitful night for Lita and her man, as Rios lost his Light Heavyweight Championship to Malenko and Lita went home with pain in the back - literally.

Twenty-two years on, Lita is back in a WWE ring and this Sunday challenges Becky Lynch for the Raw Women’s Title at the Elimination Chamber event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
