A viral video has emerged showing a woman having her weights snatched away from her while she was mid-workout at the gym, with fans livid at what they saw.

Fitness influencer Kylen Suttner posted a clip on her TikTok account last week, where she can be seen sitting down and lifting weights.

Suttner is known for posting workout videos on her social media platforms but this specific video was not like normal.

As the influencer puts her dumbbells down, a hand snatches one of them away before Suttner has a chance to react.

“Oh sorry, I was using that,” Suttner tells the person in question.

In response, the thief says: “I’ve been waiting for these for a really long time. You’ve had them forever.”

While Suttner tried to explain that she was almost done with the dumbbells and that she only had “a couple more” sets to complete, the fellow gym-goer was having none of it.

The woman proceeded to still walk away with the weights, leaving Suttner in disbelief.

“I am officially over public gyms,” she captioned the TikTok, before adding “she really did that”.

The clip has been viewed more than nine million times, and has naturally sparked outrage among fans.

One user wrote: “Bruh I’ve never been to a gym where someone had the audacity.”

Meanwhile, another put: “Omg, she did not just do that. I’d flip out.”

A third echoed this sentiment and said: “Most people at the gym are nice but there’s a few that just get on my nerves.”

Some fans also revealed that they’d been subject to similar instances themselves.

“No I literally had a guy do the same thing with my bench I was using,” one said.

Speaking to the Independent, Suttner emphasised her shock at the situation and suggested the woman could easily have found other equipment to use.

“I think she should’ve found another pair of dumbbells because there were plenty!” Sutton said. “It’s crazy how many people commented saying something similar happened to them. It was very awkward, and I wish I would’ve stood up for myself, but I was in shock!”

Suttner’s TikTok account now boasts more than 200,000 followers, while her Instagram fan base is approaching almost 50,000.
