A study has revealed the 11 Premier League players whose transfer value has risen the most this season.

Using data from Transfermarkt, Online Money Advisor have identified the players who are now worth a lot more than they were at the start of the season.

There are a number of reasons why these players’ transfer valuation has increased.

They may have completed a transfer that has seen their transfer value rise, or they’ve simply been brilliant this season. Age and contract details also play a role.

The value has been taken from July 1 to their current market value (as of February 15).

So, without further ado, who are the top 10 players whose market value has risen the most this season?

11 | Marc Guehi | Crystal Palace | July value: £8.40m | Current value: £18.48m | Increase since July: £10.08m | Increase %: 120%

Guehi has played the full 90 minutes in every match for Crystal Palace this season other than the 3-0 Boxing Day loss to Tottenham after signing from Chelsea for £18m. At the tender age of 21, Guehi’s market value will only rise with his age.

10 | Ben White | Arsenal | July value: £23.52m | Current value: £33.60m | Increase since July: £10.08m | Increase%: 43%

At the end of July, Arsenal signed White for £50m. That saw his value rise but, despite his performances this season, it seems they overpaid for him.

9 | Aaron Ramsdale | Arsenal | July value: £10.08m | Current value: £21.00m | Increase since July: £10.92m | Increase %: 108%

Arsenal also signed Ramsdale in the summer for far more than his valuation, paying £30m for the goalkeeper. His good performances so far in this campaign will only see his value edge towards that transfer fee.

8 | Demarai Gray | Everton | July value: £6.72m | Current value: £18.48m | Increase since July: £11.76m | Increase %: 175%

Everton only paid £1.7m for Gray but he paid back that transfer fee almost immediately with three goals in his first four matches. He’s only scored twice more but, at the age of 25, Gray has seen his transfer value skyrocket.

7 | Trevoh Chalobah | Chelsea | July value: £2.94m | Current value: £15.12m | Increase since July: £12.18m | Increase %: 414%

Chalobah wasn’t expected to play any role for the European champions this season but he made 14 appearances in Chelsea’s first 21 matches in the Premier League this season. Age also comes into play with the defender just 22-years-old.

6 | Reece James | Chelsea | July value: £33.60m | Current value: £46.20m | Increase since July: £12.60m | Increase %: 38%

James has been injured since December but let’s not forget the start he made to the season. Playing as a right wing-back, James was in fantastic form and, at just 22, his value increased as a result.

5 | Jack Grealish | Manchester City | July value: £54.60m | Current value: £67.20m | Increase since July: £12.60m | Increase %: 23%

Grealish signed for Man City in August for £100m. That transfer alone was enough to see his transfer value rise considerably. His performances since his move haven’t done too much to help.

4 | Diogo Jota | Liverpool | July value: £37.8m | Current value: £50.40m | Increase since July: £12.60m | Increase %: 33%

Jota was signed for £41m with the deal potentially rising to £45m. The Portuguese is already worth more than that and his 17 goals in 31 matches in all competitions this season for Liverpool is the reason why.

3 | Tino Livramento | Southampton | July value: £840,000 | Current value: £15.12m | Increase since July: £14.28m | Increase %: 1700%

Livramento has been one of the standout performances this season after he signed for Southampton for just £5m in August. While that transfer helped, it’s the right-backs incredible performances that mean he’s now worth more than £15m - a 1700% increase since July!

2 | Emile Smith Rowe | Arsenal | July value: £15.12m | Current value: £31.92m | Increase since July: £16.80m | Increase %: 111%

Smith Rowe is now an England international - and already has his first England goal. That’s why his transfer value has more than doubled with the 21-year-old producing some brilliant performances for Arsenal this season.

1 | Luis Díaz | Liverpool | July value: £15.12m | Current value: £33.60m | Increase since July: £18.48m | Increase %: 122%

The player whose transfer value has increased the most this season at the tune of £18.48m. His transfer value was already on the rise following 14 goals in 18 Primeira Lisa matches for Porto. Then, in January, Liverpool splashed £37m on the Colombian. Looking at his performance since arriving in England, his transfer valuation is only likely to increase.
