Liverpool were made to work for three points against Norwich City on Saturday.

Many tipped Jurgen Klopp's star-studded side to breeze past the Canaries at Anfield, but there was threat of a seismic upset at one point.

Early in the second half, Milot Rashica - with the help of an almighty deflection off of Joel Matip - put Norwich 1-0 up against all the odds.

However, Dean Smith's side weren't ahead for long. In the 64th-minute of play, Sadio Mane equalised with a sublime bicycle kick and Mohamed Salah then struck three minutes later with a wonderful goal of his own.

January signing Luis Diaz completed the scoring just before the end to seal a 3-1 victory for the Reds.

Liverpool looked a completely different team in the final half hour of proceedings against Norwich and much of that was down to the introduction of Thiago Alcantara.

The silky Spaniard entered the fray in the 62nd-minute and produced a sensational cameo.

Norwich just had no answer to Thiago's midfield magnificence, the former Barcelona man controlling the middle of the park from the moment he stepped on the pitch.

And as well as turning the tide for his team, the 30-year-old wowed those inside Anfield by performing something we don't think we've ever seen in a professional game before.

What was it? Oh nothing much, just a 50-yard 'no look' pass to Konstantinos Tsimikas...

Stop that, Thiago!

Roberto Firmino's 'no look' finishes from a few yards out were impressive, but Thiago has taken it to another level.

It's safe to say the Spaniard has finally adapted to the harsh demands of Premier League football after a tough start to his Liverpool career following a move from Bayern Munich in the summer of 2020.

Thiago is now replicating the sparkling form he showed in Germany for so many years and if you don't think that's true, check out his full individual highlights from Liverpool's win over Norwich below.

What. A. Player.

Thiago really is one of those footballers that embodies the phrase 'the beautiful game' and Liverpool are mighty lucky to have him.
