FIFA 22 is the latest instalment of EA's very successful football gaming franchise and the title has come such a long way since its initial release in 1993.

New modes have been developed in the game year after year, with Ultimate Team, Career Mode and Pro Clubs being the most successful of the bunch.

But one mode that has recently appeared in the franchise is VOLTA - making its debut in FIFA 20.

VOLTA is a FIFA Street-Esque type game mode, which features smaller pitches, smaller goals and much more of a focus on flair based football as opposed to your standard game of FIFA.

It was introduced due to the high demand for a new FIFA Street game on one of the new consoles, but this was EA's compromise instead.

The mode is great fun for players of all skill qualities. Some may prefer it to an actual game of FIFA due to its more chilled out vibe, but some think it's a flop compared to its insanely popular predecessor - FIFA Street.

Does FIFA 22 have VOLTA?

In short, yes - FIFA 22 does have VOLTA.

Although many believe VOLTA hasn't lived up to the dizzying heights that FIFA street gave to players, it is no doubt an excellent addition to FIFA where you can have a lot of fun, especially with your mates.

EA have also included an online mode within VOLTA this year, meaning you can team up with your pals without even being in the same room in a pro clubs style mode where you can create your own player and battle out against other clubs. Pretty fun as long as your mates don't hog the ball.

They also have a great 'story mode' style mode, if your scene isn't playing online - where you can showcase your skills against the CPU whilst coming up against global football superstars like Neymar and Joao Felix.
