A pure striker's finish! Per Football Italia, that is officially the quickest goal by a Champions League debutant in the competition's rich history, a hugely impressive record to set.

Vlahovic is also just the third Juventus player to score a debut goal on Europe's biggest footballing stage, the other two being Alessandro Del Piero and David Trezeguet.

Prior to his magnificent strike against Villarreal, Vlahovic scored 21 goals in 28 games across all competitions in 2021/22.

The Yellow Submarine equalised in the second half through Dani Parejo, which has set up the second leg in Turin perfectly for neutrals.
