Josh Taylor is 'the best fighter in Britain', according to highly respected boxing journalist Steve Bunce.

Although the Scotsman became the first fighter ever from these shores to hold all four belts simultaneously in a division, Bunce reckons Taylor still doesn't get the credit he deserves.

Scotland's undisputed super-lightweight champion will defend his WBA (Super), WBC, IBF, WBO and The Ring titles against English mandatory challenger Jack Catterall at the OVO Arena in Glasgow on February 26.

And, speaking to former super-bantamweight and featherweight champ Carl Frampton on BBC Radio 5 Live Sport, Bunce said: "Taylor's last six opponents have been unbeaten.

"Six men that were unbeaten, that includes Catterall, of course. That's going some.

"He's the best fighter in Britain. Not the biggest, not the one with the biggest following, not the one that is best known, but he is the best fighter in Britain. It's as simple as that.

"This is Taylor at home, at his best, and on a mission. And he's a very dangerous man when he gets on a mission."

Sky Sports pundit Johnny Nelson has also labelled Taylor as 'the best in the division' and 'in the world'.

However, he feels his arrogance 'might be his downfall'.

Earlier in the month, Nelson told Sky Sports: "You know, we did 'The Gloves Are Off' with these two, and Josh Taylor, you have the feeling of being around somebody that is not going to be denied.

"I personally think he's the best in the division, in the world, and we all have an opinion.

"Jack Catterall thinks, 'You know what, I've got his number, I can outbox you, I can give you hellfire'.

"You can see and sense the anger from Josh Taylor, you can sense the confidence from Jack Catterall, and these two, again, it's going to be an exciting fight at the weekend because there's a lot of pride at stake.

"One doesn't want to be denied and one is very angry and the arrogance might be his downfall."
