Josh Taylor stepped up his Las Vegas training camp for his undisputed super-lightweight clash with Jose Ramirez with a little help from Tyson Fury last year.

Taylor and Fury are both managed by MTK Global and as a result their paths have often crossed over the past few years.

The Scottish star, 31, has formed a formidable partnership with coach Ben Davison, 29, after a messy split from Shane McGuigan, 34, in January 2020.

Davison has also been in Fury's corner before, for his pair of wins over Tom Schwarz, 27, and Otto Wallin, 31.

He also helped Fury shed loads of weight prior to his fight with Deontay Wilder.

And the Gypsy King was only too happy to help Taylor get ready for his unification fight with Ramirez.

Footage shared by ESPN shows Fury body sparring with Taylor at the Top Rank gym in Las Vegas.

Fury can be seen backing up against the ropes before Taylor let rip with a flurry of punches to his midriff.

But the lineal heavyweight champion of the world stood firm and encouraged him on.

ESPN's video has now been viewed more than 474,000 times. It's received over 5,000 likes and has racked up around 6,000 engagements in total.

Taylor, who holds the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, WBC and The Ring titles, will be looking to keep the belts in Scotland when he faces Jack Catterall tonight at the OVO Arena in Glasgow.

Top Rank CEO Bob Arum, 90, has said that if Taylor beats Catterall tonight, he could move up to welterweight in the future to challenge either Terence Crawford or Errol Spence Jr.

The 31-year-old Scotsman dropped Ramirez twice last time out to become the undisputed king at 140lbs.

However, he refused to be drawn on what could be next, as he insists he has to stay focused on the job he has to do before turning his attention elsewhere.

“All I’m thinking about is Jack Catterall," Taylor told Sky Sports.

"He’s trying to take away what I’ve worked so hard to get.

"I’ve cleaned out the division. He’s getting a shot at the jackpot in one fight. I’m going to put him in his place on Saturday.

“He’s good. We’ll find out on Saturday, but he’s in for a long night. A long, painful methodical beatdown on Saturday.

"I don’t see a way that he can beat me in this fight. I don’t know how he’s going to do it, but I’m prepared for every way. Whatever he brings, I’m more than prepared for.

"How is he going to win? I don't think he will meet me in the centre. I think he will try to walk me onto a shot.

"If he's on the front foot, that plays into my hands.

"I've studied him diligently. He is a good defensive fighter, quite slick, he can punch hard, he is a clever fighter.

"This isn't a one-sided fight. It's my job to make it a one-sided fight. But it's got the makings of a tough fight."
