AJ Styles, after signing a new WWE deal recently, is said to be in the "top echelon" of earners within the company.

It was reported last week, first by Fightful Select, that AJ Styles has signed a new deal with WWE.

The former WWE Champion signed what, in the words of the report, was a "big money deal" to extend his stay with WWE.

And now we know just how much AJ Styles is earning, and how that compares to the rest of the WWE roster.

The latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter notes that Styles is believing to be earning around £3 million per year as part of his new WWE contract.

Dave Meltzer explains that this puts AJ Styles right up there with the likes of Edge, The Miz and Goldberg as one of WWE's top earners.

Meltzer does explain that Styles' new salary is lower than the likes of Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns, Ronda Rousey and Randy Orton, who all earn more.

If the number is correct, it would put Styles in the top echelon when it comes to money behind Lesnar, Reigns, Rousey and Orton that we know of and Edge, Goldberg and it is believed Miz are the guys right underneath the top four that he’d be at the same level with.

Kevin Owens also re-signed with WWE recently, despite many people believing he was due to leave the company for pastures new.

Meltzer explains that if both figures are believed to be correct, then Kevin Owens' new WWE contract is worth less than Styles':

Owens was believed to be the next highest guy but if this number is accurate it would be above what Owens just signed for

AJ Styles could be set for a huge WrestleMania match, with reports suggesting that he could face fellow former WWE Champion Edge at the show.
